Meet the three women behind Casa Hymer
Mother, daughter, and dog Nika, an Italian girl, together form Casa Hymer.
Casa Hymer didn't start with a desire for a camper, but with a longing for a different way of life.
We were tired of the hustle and bustle.
Of sounds everywhere.
The constant stimuli and carrying on as if this is “normal.
We wanted less stuff and more outside living.
Less distraction. More breathing space.
Living closer to nature and, above all, closer to ourselves.
In short: a simpler life.
Our choice fell very deliberately on a Hymer B584 from 1996. New campers felt too sleek, too perfect, and frankly… soulless to us. An older model has character. It feels more alive.
We were specifically looking for this model because of the layout.
Despite its compact length, the Hymer B584 offers a 'sea' of living space. The separate shower in the bathroom provides a bit more room to move around, which really makes a difference. Additionally, we wanted to stay within the 3,500 kg permitted weight limit so that we could drive with just a standard B driving licence.

And perhaps most importantly: light.
Lots of light.
Light changes everything. More spacious. Calmer. More life.
We are building Vida Nómada step by step, consciously, and within budget..
In a way that feels right for us. Sometimes we find ourselves in the middle of nature at a quiet, free spot. Sometimes we end up in places that don't suit us as well; that is part of it too. We live with what presents itself.
Driving constantly is not the goal, and frankly, it is too expensive. It is precisely slowing down, living more simply, and being less dependent that feels richer to us than always being on the road.
Nika perhaps shows us most clearly that life is meant to be much simpler than we have been taught.
Casa Hymer is our answer to that.
Not perfect. But more conscious.
And especially lighter…
A more beautiful way to live.
Love,
