And what do you know? You probably guessed it: Hiemer is incorrect. You also sometimes hear people say Heimer, but that variant is wrong too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is it then?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Drumroll\u2026<\/em> <br><br>The correct pronunciation is: <strong>HUUMER<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In German, the <em>y<\/em> pronounced as a <em>\u00fc<\/em>, that sounds like a long one <em>uu<\/em>.
