DMost people say Hiemer, and so did I. That felt the most logical to me. Still, I wondered: is that actually correct?
Because, well, if you have a Hymer, you might as well know how to really pronounce it, right?

Google search
So I consulted good old pal Google. And what do you know? You probably guessed it: Hiemer is incorrect. You also sometimes hear people say Heimer, but that variant is wrong too.
What is it then?
Drumroll…
The correct pronunciation is: HUUMER.
In German, the y pronounced as a ü, that sounds like a long one uu. That is why you say: Huu-mer.
You can hear it for yourself in this fragment.
Words are bridges, not spelling tests.

So, now we know that too 😉
And tell me… what did Hymer sound like in your head?
Love,
